Archbishop Anthony ordained Leonid Mikheichik as deacon for the parish of the Holy Trinity in Melbourne
On The Feast of the Birth of the Mother of God, on the 21st of September 2018, the Archbishop of Vienna and Budapest Anthony, served the Divine Liturgy in the Church of St John the Forerunner (Baptist) in Person, Moscow.
His Grace was joined by the rector of the St Nicholas parish of Limasol (Cyprus), the Very Reverend Paul Povaliaev, priest Maxim Boiarov, a cleric of the Budapest-Viennese Diocese priest Sviatoslav Bulah and deacon Evgeni Kuznetsoff. His Grace, the Bishop of Naro-Fominsk Ioann, who is responsible for the parishes of the Moscow Patriarchate in the USA, was in the altar praying during the Divine Liturgy.
Following the Eucharistic Canon, with the blessing of the Holy Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia, Kirill, Archbishop Anthony ordained Leonid Mikheichik as deacon for the parish of the Holy Trinity in Melbourne (Australia).
Following the hymn of praise to the Festal Icon, priest Maxim Boiakov delivered a sermon. At the end of the service, Archbishop Anthony addressed the congregation. On the same day, His Grace left for Italy.
